Coronado Lacrosse Club Hires New Director of Coaching


Caroline Carlson, Director of Coaching & CHS Varsity Women's Coach

Coronado Lacrosse Club (CLC) is proud to announce our new Director of Coaching, Caroline Carlson.  A Coronado High School graduate, she has been the CHS women’s varsity lacrosse coach since 2018.  Caroline also coaches for an elite caliber of players at Coast Lacrosse Club.  Her experience and knowledge of the game is vital to lead our coaches, players, and parents to grow into the next level of youth girls lacrosse and bring modern and advanced aspects of the game to Coronado’s amazing athletes.  Caroline prides herself on coaching high school student athletes to improve their skills and develop; she will expand that prowess to our younger girls, building curriculum and offering insight for improvement.  She brings plans to further grow and develop lacrosse in the Coronado community.

About CLC

Coronado Lacrosse Club (CLC) is a nonprofit, lacrosse organization for youth girls in kindergarten through 8th grade. Our goal is to promote the development of female youth lacrosse players to their greatest potential via recreational and competitive programs.  CLC is dedicated to serving the Coronado community by ensuring that our girls have access to an excellent lacrosse education offering tremendous opportunities for youth development, both physically and mentally.  CLC strives to maintain its mission, developing youth lacrosse players to their greatest potential, all while instilling a love of the game, teamwork, and sportsmanship. 

CLC hosts two recreation seasons (Fall and Spring). 

Fall Recreation: Open to all girls in Kindergarten-8th grade. A development season to sharpen player skills. The Fall season will have 2 practices a week with a few non-league local games. Registration for Fall recreation begins in July. The season typically runs from August-October. 

Spring Recreation: Open to all girls in Kindergarten-8th grade. This is the main season for girls lacrosse and all teams will have 2-3 practices a week, and participate in league play. There are approximately 8 games a season on the weekends with an end of the season league tournament. The season typically runs from February-May.  Registration for Spring recreation season will open on January 4th.


The CLC Board is dedicated to helping players of all levels achieve new heights in their play. The CLC Board of Trustees are Mindy Carpenito (President), Jada Cade (Vice President), John Peterson (Secretary), Brian Schumeyer (Treasurer), and Jim Mackis (Director of Communications). Caroline Carlson serves as our Director of Coaching.
